Intergovernmental Relations

Mission Statement

The Intergovernmental Relations Office is responsible for managing the County’s legislative programs in Sacramento and Washington D.C., including coordinating advocacy efforts on federal, State, and regional issues, initiating legislation, and monitoring State and Federal legislation that affects the County. Each year, the Office works with the Board of Supervisors and County departments and agencies to develop the County’s Legislative Priorities and Policies . In addition, the Office handles special projects of an intergovernmental nature, including redevelopment issues and grants.
